Chuck is resourceful because he went out in the cold penatrating breeze of the blizzard and found a dead baby calf.He took small veraties of the calf so there will be more for the group. This shows that Chuck is resorceful because he is taking what nature provides for the group.Because of this action,Chuck was able to feed the hungry children from starving. Also, Chuck made a fire with macthes matches he was carring on him at that time so the group was able to make a fire because of Chuck. He also had rubbed maggie's gangrene feet to bring life into them so she won't get frost bite. Because of Chuck's action he had saved most of the the children and mrs lecia life .So they had a shelter food and a fire to protect them just a little bit from the harsh weather.So chuck is resourceful because he did things that help in the story.
